About Chalk Mineral Paint

Water based Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint (CMP) is easy peasy – just clean your peice with Dixie Belle White Lightning and start painting! No priming or sanding necessary. Paint anywhere in your home because there is no toxic smell – no VOC’s! Perfect for upcycling your furniture. Give it a solid color or create a shabby chic look by sanding some of the edges of your piece. CMP is great for blending colors too!

After painting, protect your piece by applying a finish. While you can leave your piece unfinished, we generally recommend applying a finish to your piece – either “Best Dang Wax”, “Gatorhide” or “Clear Coat”! It protects your piece, takes away the “chalky” look and slightly deepends the color.
